About Us

Gone With The West is a lifestyle brand inspired by the history of western culture and American heritage. I thought of Gone With The West while I was putting my 3-year-old son to bed after returning from a riding trip to Montana. When I was at the Montana airport I had picked up a book and read about the history of women in rodeos and the cowgirls of the early twentieth century. I was fascinated and inspired reading about the history of western fashion, and how it was brought to life by rebellious women who pushed their way into the spotlight of rodeos; making their own costumes and clothing along the way. Having grown up with horses all my life and competing since I was a kid, I have always considered myself a cowgirl at heart; even if I am in an English saddle most of the time. I appreciate the horse, and my goal is to create a brand surrounding the lifestyle and feeling that comes with it. Whether you live in the city or country does not matter. My hope is that when someone wears Gone With The West they feel apart of a movement. A movement that happened many years ago, when the rodeo queens risked everything for a thrill of freedom in fashion, and to be equal among men when they swung their leg over a horse. I want them to feel apart of a movement that is happening now. The wild horse is the iconic symbol of western freedom and they are currently being diminished. Gone With The West supports wild horse rescue and preservation of Native American land. Our future collaborations will raise awareness for its preservation. Fashion is about aspiration, and what is going on in the world is a major influence on feeling. I always strive to create a feeling when I design clothes. Gone With The West tells a story about the past and the present. Once upon a time in the west...
